Merle Childs

Local Artist

He calls hello.  Viewing you not as money, you are a person.  A person worth greeting.  He wants to tell you good evening.  He wants to share his art with you.  He doesn't try to force it on you.  He just wants to share his craft.  He offers it for free or a donation if you choose, but you don't have too.

When he speaks, his voice twinkles and rolls.  He is engaging.  He has your attention.  When he talks, you want to listen.  He has a slight southern drawl.  He will spin yarns all evening sanding away at a new piece of art.  You never get tired of listening.   The art he shapes out of the wood is beautiful, but his gentle demeanor and sweet voice paint a tapestry all their own.  Meeting him is pleasant.  You part, feeling refreshed and joyful.  He has a sweet spirit.

Merle is an Oklahoma boy.  He can be found in Bricktown selling his art and chatting away.  Don't miss him.  Make a point of seeing his pieces, they are lovely.  And he doesn't name a price.  Donation only, if you see fit to donate.
